This workshop embraces the painting process and the importance of a daily practice as a path to improving creativity and image making skills. A combination of demos, in-class assignments, and individual instruction led by a painter who has painted 5,400 (and counting) daily paintings teaches students techniques to create fresh, deliberate marks. Using acrylic or oil paint students discover approaches to simplify the process of painting and ways to stay inspired and motivated. All levels welcome, demos are in acrylic. Register here

Daily Painting embraces the painting process and the importance of a regular practice as a path to improving creativity and image-making skills. Using acrylic or oil, students will discover approaches to simplifying the process of painting and ways to stay inspired and motivated. The path to daily painting starts with you! In this class, you will learn how to loosen up and connect with your personal style.

In addition to meeting together during class time on Tuesdays evenings, students will be able to share their work through a private, instructor-run Facebook page in order to provide their fellow classmates accountability, offer and receive peer feedback, and learn from instructor support. Access to this page begins with class on October 1st and continues through October 15th. register here

Embrace the Practice, Daily Painting
This two-day workshop combines demos, in-class assignments and individual instruction to teach students the techniques Lisa Daria Kennedy uses to create fresh, deliberate marks. Using acrylic paint (or oils) students will discover approaches to simplify the process of painting and ways to stay inspired and motivated. Continuous painting is by far the most effective way to improve creativity and image making skills. She will share examples of how the discipline of daily painting produces personal growth. The class will delve into the principles of design, composition, value, and color. We will examine color mixing, mark making, and personal voice. Lastly, we will discuss practical strategies for painting every day (or almost every day). register here
